Rod -
Genus is the Creator of the world, the Father of all the Gods, humans and Cause
of all causes, the Founder and the very essence of the universe. He is the
living thought and Creator of everything that exists . He is infinite and
all-pervading in space and time .
Some
Slavs believes that the Genus was first Ecumenical
Egg that existed outside of time and space. Genus spawned even himself. Light
and darkness came from Genus.
He
created the heavens and the earth, mountains and rivers, humans and animals,
fishes and insects.
Genus
divided the world into 3 parts:
"PRAV"
( the world in which his children-Gods live ),
"JAV"
( mundane world He settled with the plants, animals and man )
and
"NAV" ( the world beyond , world of the dead, land of shadows and everlasting
dark ).
Rod created Worldtree - Oak which with its crown outgrown the world , and with its roots reach through earthly world and reaches out to the underworld.
Some
sources indicate that Genus created from the milk of life and Mother Raw Earth
( Mother Earth ).
Genus
within himself spawn love and gave it to all his creations by giving them parts of himself as a supreme act of creation. So
through him each thing and being are immortal and everlasting. Finally with the
remaining part of himself He created Svarog - father of the Gods giving him the
power of design and creation.
Genus
becomes a principle and ceases to appear as God , ceases to interfere in the
lives of mortals and Gods directly, but He is always present there with
principles He made to influence at us all. He is in everything, in fact He is
the basis of everything. All visible and invisible represents Genus, and Svarog
in His name creates and shapes.
Rod is
the protector of crops, birth and families. All these nouns in all Slavic
languages have the same root - word "ROD".(Rod stands for Genus)
It
shows how much Genus was honored with the Slavs , and how it is seen as a basis
for the most important things in life .
Genus is the patron of blood ties and relations
between clans. Rod is pervasive through all as the basis, or some kind of
foundation. Genus is all around us, as it is later presented in Christianity
(with the word Genus stripped because the Christian God is nameless).
